So…here we are…a mere 4 years after purchasing our bus. It was certainly an experience renovating this bus and the plan is to share that experience along with all the ups and downs to where we are now.

We are a newly retired couple and plan on seeing the beautiful USA through the windows of our Rollindaydream. Through pictures and stories we will share the demolition as well as the build and all the tools and materials we used. Maybe if you have a plan for a skoolie of your own, we can save you from experiencing some of the downs. So let’s go!!!

The purchase was a 2 trip journey to VA before the final decision was made. It was exciting to make the purchase and then bring the bus home to NC. Of course in my mind the project would be complete within a few months…HA! Jokes on me, but its all good! We started the demolition with tools we had and soon realized we were not quite equipped for the job, so off to Lowes/Amazon we go! Our first purchase was an angle grinder. We may have been able to loosen a bolt or two with a ratchet, but that wasn’t going to get us very far.
